Backlink Dirs vs SimilarLabs

Backlink Dirs is a curated web directory where founders and SEO teams research launch platforms, AI tool lists, and other sites that accept product submissions. Each external listing shows domain rating, estimated monthly visits, category labels, and tags for dofollow status, pricing intent, and audience focus. The homepage search and filters let you narrow by category, tags, and pricing before sorting by recency.

Most backlink spreadsheets go stale because traffic and DR scores are not refreshed beside each URL. Backlink Dirs keeps those metrics on every card and also runs its own product directory with free, Pro, subscription, and weekly sponsor tiers. The site promotes a Submit CLI with agent skills that target faster publishing across multiple external directories, with unlimited submissions unlocked on the monthly plan.

Indie founders, SEO specialists, and growth agencies can use Backlink Dirs to plan outreach and manage their own listing in one place. Free product submissions require a reciprocal backlink to Backlink Dirs and ship within 72 hours, while Pro and subscription tiers drop that requirement and add faster review paths.

The catalog spans nine paginated browse pages of directories, from high-traffic launch sites to niche AI and developer lists. Backlink Dirs itself reports DR 51 and about 1.7k monthly visits on the homepage header, giving you a quick read on the platform's own authority before you commit to a paid listing.

SimilarLabs runs a daily launch board and searchable catalog for new AI tools, SaaS apps, and developer products. Visitors browse date-grouped launches, upvote favorites, and explore 3,731+ listings spread across twelve AI-focused categories from coding to agents.

Most product directories fold promotion into a single paid bundle. SimilarLabs splits the workflow: you pick one of three submission routes (free review, free backlink swap, or $9.99 instant publish), then buy side-rail promotion separately if you want one of ten numbered slots beside its marketing pages.

The site publishes editorial comparison guides, a Hall of Fame for top-voted launches, and localized versions in six languages. Makers get product pages with screenshots and category tags; buyers use the feed to spot tools on the day they ship.

Indie builders, SaaS founders, and growth marketers submit for backlinks or traffic, while researchers hunt early launches before they hit larger directories. Browsing and upvoting stay free; only listing upgrades and fixed-slot promotion carry fees.
