slAItor is an online translation assistant built around large language models from the GPT family, combined with standard machine translation pipelines. slAItor supports 28 language pairs across Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. The site is upfront that raw translation quality can trail established systems in some cases, but positions itself on price and on features like step-by-step explanations, paraphrasing, and a checker mode that reviews your own drafts.

Speaks is a collection of custom ChatGPT GPTs built to help you function in foreign languages. The site links to six language-specific bots: Falo for European Portuguese, Hablo for Spanish, Spreche for German, Papo for Brazilian Portuguese, Parlo for Italian, and Parle for French.

Each GPT goes beyond straight translation. Put text in quotes for a direct translation, or chat for broader language help. The bots correct grammar, explain their translations, and suggest idioms that fit the context. They show their workings so you can check that the output matches what you meant.
