Khanmigo is Khan Academy's AI tutor and teaching assistant, an education product built for schools, families, and self-directed learners. It sits inside Khan Academy's content library and guides users through math, science, coding, writing, and humanities without handing over final answers. Parents and learners subscribe for $4 per month, while teachers get full access at no cost through a Microsoft-backed program. The tool runs on GPT-4 and includes both speech-to-text and text-to-speech for hands-free study.

Most general chatbots will draft an essay or solve a problem in one shot. Khanmigo is wired to do the opposite: it asks follow-up questions, nudges students toward the reasoning step, and ties explanations back to specific Khan Academy exercises and videos. That makes it slower for cheating and more useful for real study sessions, especially when a teacher or parent wants proof the student did the thinking.

Classroom teachers use it to generate rubrics, lesson hooks, quiz questions, and progress summaries in minutes rather than hours. Families in the U.S. can add up to ten children under one parent account, review chat history, and get safety alerts. Districts can buy a separate package that turns on student access with Clever or ClassLink rostering and a dedicated success manager.

FlashcardX is a study app that turns pasted text or web links into vocabulary flashcards you can review before a test. You drop in a short excerpt from an article, textbook, or URL, and the site generates words to memorize instead of making cards by hand.

The workflow centers on a single generator on the homepage: enter your source material, create a deck, and come back to it later under My Flashcards after signing in. A credits counter on the page shows how many generations you have left.
