Stable Diffusion is Stability AI's open-weight image generation model family, now centered on Stable Diffusion 3.5 with Large, Turbo, and Medium variants. The stability.ai site also hosts related media models for image editing, video, audio, and 3D, plus Brand Studio for on-brand creative production. You can self-host the weights, call the Stability AI API, or use web apps such as Stable Assistant.

Most closed image APIs only serve generations through a hosted endpoint. Stability AI still publishes model weights you can deploy on your own infrastructure while also selling managed tools like Brand Studio with brand-specific training and precision editing. Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large targets 1 megapixel professional output, Turbo generates in four steps, and Medium is tuned for consumer hardware.

It fits creative teams, game studios, and developers who want both open models and enterprise controls. Brand Studio lists a free trial with 1,000 credits, a Creator plan at $19 per month with 2,000 credits, and a Core plan at $50 per month with 5,000 credits.
