Most podcast apps assume you will work through a backlog one episode at a time. MixerBox AI flips that by summarizing first. You hear the gist in about 30 seconds, skim the transcript, and only commit when the topic is worth the full runtime. It also includes AI voice posts that turn typed text into spoken audio.

The app suits commuters, news skimmers, and anyone with a growing saved-episode list. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac with Apple silicon, and Apple Vision, with a web version at mixerbox.ai and a Chrome extension. Longtime MixerBox users can still access the MB Player music feature from the home tab.

Textation was a chat bot companion that let you build custom AI characters and talk to them over SMS, voice calls, or in-app chat. You could randomize a persona or set age, profession, location, and physical traits yourself, then keep the storyline going through interactive replies.

What set it apart from typical chatbot apps was the real phone layer: characters could text and call your actual number, not just chat inside a browser tab. It also bundled a generative image tool so characters could send visuals mid-conversation, styled from classic painting to anime.

The product ran on an uncensored LLM with a 4k token context window and offered free unlimited use while in beta. As of August 2026, textation.ai no longer resolves via DNS, so the service appears discontinued even though cached homepage copy still describes these features.
