Real Fake vs Lensa

Real Fake turns a batch of selfies into polished professional headshots without booking a photographer. You upload 10 to 20 photos, pick portrait styles like Classy or Casual, and get dozens of AI-generated results within a few hours. It is an avatar generation service built for LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and workplace directories.

Most headshot apps apply quick filters to a single photo. Real Fake retrains a Stable Diffusion model on your uploads so the output matches your face across many poses and backgrounds. Plans start at €9.99 for 40 portraits, which the site compares to roughly €250 for a typical business photographer in Germany. The trade-off is wait time: even the fastest tier delivers in 2.5 hours, not instantly.

The product targets professionals who need a credible photo for LinkedIn, Slack, or a company site but dislike studio shoots. Testimonials on the site cite founders, engineers, and consultants who wanted a business look from home. A separate team product at Company Headshots covers bulk corporate orders.

Lensa is a mobile photo editor from Prisma Labs built around one-tap portrait fixes and AI-generated Magic Avatars. You upload selfies, pick an art style, and the app produces stylized avatar sets for profile pictures and social posts. The same app handles everyday editing: background blur or replacement, skin retouching, filters, and borders without switching tools.

Dedicated avatar generators like ProfilePicture.ai or Aragon focus on headshots alone. Lensa pairs Magic Avatars with a full editing toolkit, so you can retouch the result, swap backgrounds, and export in one session. The trade-off is that avatar generation runs on a separate credit system from the core editor subscription.

The app targets social media creators, dating profile users, and casual photographers who want polished portraits on a phone. Prisma Labs reports 200M+ downloads and App of the Year wins on both the App Store and Google Play. Lensa launched in late 2018 and drove one of the first large-scale viral moments for consumer generative AI in late 2022.

Lensa is available on iOS and Android. The Prisma Labs product page at prisma-ai.com/index.html describes Lensa alongside the original Prisma art-filter app. Free users can edit photos with daily save limits, while a Pro subscription unlocks unlimited saves and bundled Magic Avatar allowances each billing period.
