Amine AI vs Lensa

Amine AI (Anime AI on animeai.app) turns portrait photos into anime-style avatars without requiring signup for basic use. Upload a JPEG or PNG up to 5MB, pick a gender option to guide facial structure, and the generator recreates your likeness in styles ranging from classic anime to Pixel Art, Naruto, and other themed models. Results typically arrive within a few minutes.

Most photo filters trace your selfie and slap a preset on top. Anime AI rebuilds the image from scratch using Stable Diffusion with custom anime models, so outputs look like drawn art rather than filtered photos. That regeneration means likeness can drift between styles, which is why the site recommends buying the 100-image pack so you can cherry-pick the best render.

Cosplayers, anime fans, and social media creators are the obvious audience. Reviews on the homepage cite 100-image packs for about 2 dollars and highlight Naruto, Dragon Ball, and elf-style outputs as popular picks. Optional attribute checkboxes help when glasses, facial hair, or darker skin tones are underrepresented in the training data.

Lensa is a mobile photo editor from Prisma Labs built around one-tap portrait fixes and AI-generated Magic Avatars. You upload selfies, pick an art style, and the app produces stylized avatar sets for profile pictures and social posts. The same app handles everyday editing: background blur or replacement, skin retouching, filters, and borders without switching tools.

Dedicated avatar generators like ProfilePicture.ai or Aragon focus on headshots alone. Lensa pairs Magic Avatars with a full editing toolkit, so you can retouch the result, swap backgrounds, and export in one session. The trade-off is that avatar generation runs on a separate credit system from the core editor subscription.

The app targets social media creators, dating profile users, and casual photographers who want polished portraits on a phone. Prisma Labs reports 200M+ downloads and App of the Year wins on both the App Store and Google Play. Lensa launched in late 2018 and drove one of the first large-scale viral moments for consumer generative AI in late 2022.

Lensa is available on iOS and Android. The Prisma Labs product page at prisma-ai.com/index.html describes Lensa alongside the original Prisma art-filter app. Free users can edit photos with daily save limits, while a Pro subscription unlocks unlimited saves and bundled Magic Avatar allowances each billing period.
