ReByte
ReByte lets you hire digital agent employees and equip each one like a real teammate. Every employee gets an identity in your org, a defined persona, its own cloud computer, a set of tools, and scoped access permissions. You coordinate them through separate conversations, not a single shared chat session.
The platform centers on the Agent Computer: a persistent cloud machine with a file system, shell, full remote browser, and installed skills. Tasks run through an agent harness such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or OpenCode. Files, git state, and browser sessions carry over between tasks because the computer persists independently of which model runs on it.
ReByte is built for teams that want agents doing operational work across engineering, support, on-call, research, and go-to-market. The homepage lists workflows like closing Linear or Jira tickets with pull requests, handling support inboxes, triaging alerts, drafting competitive research briefs, and finance reconciliation.
For organizations, ReByte Teams adds model access policies, network domain allowlists, Agent Context connectors to databases and cloud storage, private versioned skills, and audit trails where every action is attributed to a specific agent identity and task.
Give each digital employee its own org identity, persona, cloud VM, and tool kit including Claude Code and Codex
Run multiple specialized agent employees in parallel, each with a dedicated computer and role-specific instructions
Persistent agent computers keep files, git repos, and browser sessions between tasks instead of resetting each run
Connect PostgreSQL, Snowflake, S3, and other sources through Agent Context so agents query your data with SQL
Every completed task includes a line-item receipt for compute hours, model calls, and proprietary skill usage
Bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google API keys, or use Claude Max and Gemini subscriptions without extra token fees
Each agent runs on an isolated, persistent cloud computer rather than a stateless chat window.
Per-task receipts itemize compute, model calls, and skill charges instead of bundled token pricing.
Flexible model billing via BYOK, existing Claude Max or Gemini subscriptions, or Rebyte credits.
Team governance and Agent Context connectors require the $20 per seat Team plan.
Enterprise pricing is sales-led with no published rate card.
The platform has a learning curve if you only need simple one-off chat completions.
Is ReByte free to use?
Yes. The Personal plan includes daily free usage on every agent with no credit card required. When you exceed the free allowance, you can buy pay-as-you-go credits or bring your own API key or subscription.
What agent harnesses does ReByte support?
ReByte supports Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and OpenCode as swappable agent harnesses on each Agent Computer. You can choose a different harness per task without losing the computer's persistent state.
How does ReByte bill compute and model usage?
Agent computers cost $0.10 per hour while active and $0 when idle. Every task ends with an itemized receipt showing compute hours, each model call with token counts, proprietary skill charges, and a total in credits and dollars.
What data sources can Agent Context connect to?
Agent Context supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and file formats including Parquet, CSV, and JSON. Connections are granted at the org level with read-only defaults.
What do Team and Enterprise plans add?
The Team plan at $20 per seat per month adds governance, shared workspaces, team collaboration, and Agent Context connectors. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM, a dedicated VPC, on-prem models, and custom SLAs with sales-led pricing.
