highlight.io was an open source, fullstack monitoring platform for web applications. It combined session replay, error monitoring, logging, distributed traces, and dashboards so engineering teams could see what users did, what broke, and why.
LaunchDarkly acquired Highlight in April 2025 and folded its observability features into Guarded Releases. The standalone highlight.io hosted service was deprecated on February 28, 2026, and highlight.io/pricing now redirects to LaunchDarkly.
The open-source GitHub repository remains available for self-hosting, but new customers are directed to LaunchDarkly Observability at app.launchdarkly.com.
